Carlos Ghosn has apparently fled house arrest in Japan by using a paramilitary group disguised as musicians who entered his home for the purpose of providing dinner entertainment. Apparently he was smuggled out in the case of a classical double bass to a private jet which took a route through Turkey into Lebanon where he grew up and is a prominently popular figure.

In your case it would be evacuation to a cramped garage via a detour over a frozen pond. With your wife running interference at home and nobody else seeing or hearing from you for the duration of a full weekend.

Reuters this AM said that the Japanese authorities were “lax” in reviewing the video files— like once a week— so it doesn’t seem like he was “on lockdown”,.
The Japanese have an quirky culture— very precise about some things and completely out of control on others. anybody remember the time they achieved nuclear criticality while mixing fissile materials in a small mixing tank ??? Oops.
